Wesley Maraire was born and raised in Zimbabwe. After high school, he completed a degree with honours in Industrial Sociology and Political Science at the University of Cape Town (UCT). In 2013, he enrolled and completed a Masters in Labour Law, whilst also working at global market intelligence and growth consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. He was successfully promoted and became the youngest manager at the firm. His work at Frost exposed him to social entrepreneurship initiatives that are having a big impact in African communities. Wesley has worked with study abroad organisations such as CIEE, ISA and IES Abroad. It is at this time that he discovered the dynamics of bringing people from different parts of the world together, and where he found out that when people use their diversity to work together they could achieve more.
